I’m a development editor with over fifteen years of experience in developing print and digital textbooks and ancillary programs. I also write instructional content, specializing in supportive writing and revision. My work involves extensive research and testing of student and instructor needs in the context of current market conditions. I conceptualize pedagogical designs and advise on product layouts, drawing from my background in the visual arts (including encaustic and painting). I’m also a project manager with experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously from planning to post-publication within specified schedules and budgets. And I enjoy reviewing scholarly, professional, and popular books for a range of publishers. I live with my husband in Northern Michigan, where I find much of the inspiration for my work.
